The Nuclear Train

A commission for ‘animate’ and a collaboration with writer James Flint.

 

The starting point for the story was the fact that to date there are three trains per week that transport nuclear waste through the heart of London. In the film a fictional James is traumatised by these trains running passed his home. He comes to believe that they have caused his daughters disability. In an effort to resolve these inner torments James runs away from home and enters a dreamscape London falling apart at the seams and wonders whether he will ever see his family again.
